Workers for the Harvest

9:35 Then Jesus went throughout all the towns ¹  and villages, teaching in their synagogues, ²  preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and sickness. ³ 

Matius 10:5

The Faithful and Wise Slave

24:45 “Who then is the faithful and wise slave, ⁹  whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves ¹⁰  their food at the proper time?

[20:28]  ⁸ sn The Greek word for ransom (λύτρον, lutron) is found here and in Mark 10:45 and refers to the payment of a price in order to purchase the freedom of a slave. The idea of Jesus as the “ransom” is that he paid the price with his own life by standing in our place as a substitute, enduring the judgment that we deserved for sin.
